You can eat what you like as long as you train well?
Sure you can. But remember 1 minute of burpees burns roughly 6 – 10 calories depending on your size and weight, so if you want to gorge on pizza and wine then that’s a hell of a lot of burpees. Perhaps a better and more manageable way is to mostly eat healthy foods and train well so if you do have a life and binge once in a while then its not the end of the world.

Heart rate monitors are the best way to judge how hard I am working?
They are a great way to check, measure and compare your intensity to your fitness levels, but as with every aspect of fitness, don’t get too hung up on the numbers and zones. Use it as a tool, not your main focus.

Cardio is best for losing weight?
Losing weight is down to calorie deficit. If you consume less calories than your body uses, you will lose weight. You can use cardio as tool to increase the calorie deficit. However weight training has been proven to be more effective at burning fat and you will have some ‘tone’ once you’ve lost the weight.

Pilates is just for women?
Pilates is for anyone who wants to work on their body control, coordination, strength and mobility. In fact, a lot of professional athletes utilize Pilates to correct and optimize biomechanical challenges.

Reception Hours – 8:00am – 8:00pm Monday to Friday / 8:00am – 4:00pm at Weekends and Bank Holidays

Gym and Pool – Peak hours – 6:30am – 9:30pm Monday to Friday / 7:30am – 8:00pm at Weekends

(last entry for all of the above opening times is 30 minutes before closing)
